The Young Wizard Collection
~In a land where darkness rules, one small child finds his way into an old wizards home. Here, where he learns all about dark magic, his heart finds true beauty in the magic that no spell can create - Love.
A strange occurance with a passing stranger in which a conversation about how the land of Saavyn once was a place of beauty and happiness led the child to question about the mysterious Heart stone. Upon endless nights of secret study... we shall see if the determined child can bring the land of darkness back to light once more.

----
I. A Wizard's Study
The young, nameless wizard, reads long into the night, trying to discover the secrets of Saaven and the Heart stone which it is said to possess.

:star: Please support my new efforts with comments not involving minor technicalities. This is an experimentation and is deeply a part of my heart. Criticism is a must, but more so, give me ideas for future images... how realistic this is... etc. This is a small step towards complex set design. I don't use props all that often, as most of my gallery is landscape... but all of the props here were carefully chosen and set up specifically. Make sure you look to the minor details--they are most important.
:star: Noted on my journal, Minor post work done, images were too dark to be seen. Everything else, yes, even the glow, are natural to the photo. The grain was produced from the camera and blurred slightly for an intentional traditional painting feel.

Thank you all for your support. Comments are  as are favorites.
Look for the rest in the collection.

Ooh, that's genuinly cool. One comment on the piece as a whole compostition, though: have you thought about how you want to lead the viewer's eye through the picture? Obviously, the focus is the glowing bulb in the hands, but what about the other objects, such as the castle or the patterns on the cloth? They seem to be in a grey area and disconnected from the rest of the picture making it look more like an ameteur photo than it deserves. By the way, great use of negative space! But I think you could even take that a step further and make this really phenominal. *eep* I hope I'm not treading in "minor-technicality" land, I swear, I wasn't trying!

Lovely work dear. The set-up is very maticulous and believeable, right from that funky light, to the stones/shells (?) in front of the book. Well done for this great idea, which has been well set up, but may I add that the picture quality is not up to your usual standard: it seems to me as though the camera's been handheld, and this will hit you hard in low light. Correct me if i'm wrong though. Great piece nonetheless though, the originality supersedes this flaw
